Things you really ought to know...
- You must be a member of the Gator Rewards Club at the time of purchase to earn rewards. There are no retroactive rewards for previous purchases. You will instantly receive a free $25 reward card every time you reach $350 in qualifying purchases. You may use the reward card on your next transaction. There is a limit of ONE reward per transaction, regardless of the total.
- a. A qualifying $800 total purchase issues ONE reward card.
- b. A qualifying $175 purchase moves you $175 closer to the $350 target.
- Returns made will count negatively toward your next reward.
- Merchandise that are excluded from Gator Rewards Club are, but not limited to: computers, mp3 players, AppleCare & other warranties, merchandise rentals, purchase of gift cards, already discounted/sale merchandise, sales tax, shipping and handling fees, restocking/shrink wrap fees, online reservations fees, states fees, late fees or labor fees where they apply.
- You earn rewards for purchases made either in your SFSU Bookstore or online. You will not receive any rewards for purchases made at the Lobby Shop, HealthyU, and any offsite sales (ie: author signings, Commencement, etc)
- Treat your reward card like cash! It does not expire, but it will not be replaced if lost or stolen. There is no minimum purchase to use your reward card. Any unused portion of the $25 may be used for a later purchase.
- Make sure you tell your cashier at the beginning of your transaction that you are a GRC member! Any failure to identify yourself as a GRC member will result in your transaction not counting toward your reward.
- Qualifying purchases made online will count towards your reward. Don't forget to identify yourself as a GRC member and provide your ID number at Checkout!
- By signing up for the Gator Rewards Club you are agreeing to receive promotional offers from your SFSU Bookstore.
- Rewards may not be transferred or combined with other members' rewards or individuals.
- Your SFSU Bookstore reserves the right to change or cancel its reward program without prior notice. Your SFSU Bookstore also reserves the right to terminate your membership at its sole discretion.
- Membership is limited to individual SF State students, faculty, and staff members. Campus organizations and special accounts do not qualify. Individuals receiving financial aid from any outside agencies, including government agencies, do not qualify (ie: vocational rehabilitation, veterans affaris, SFUSD, fran charges and ASI accounts).
- Apologies to our employees, y'all aren't allowed to become Gator Rewards Club members.
SF State Departmental and University purchases made by SF State staff members
As per your SF State Accounts Payable Department, the following memo applies to all reward cards earned from departmental/university purchases.
RE: Use of reward cards and other vendor purchase incentives
Occasionally, a merchant may offer an incentive or reward to make certain purchases from them. This can take the form of a price reduction or the buyer receiving a gift card, which is a price reduction for buying more of the item, or free merchandise.
Policy: Since purchases are paid for using state funds, any reward or incentive automatically becomes the property of San Francisco State University, not of the university employee who made the purchase. This policy also applies to situations where the employee spends his/her money to make the purchase and then claims reimbursement. Just as the merchandise purchased is owned by SF State, therefore the reward card, free merchandise, or other purchase incentives are also owned by SF State.
