As specified by the SFSU Board of Directors, the following policies apply to purchases made both online and in the store.Non-Textbook Items:Merchandise may be returned/exchanged within 30 days of the purchase date.Merchandise must be in the original purchase condition and accompanied by the original sales receipt. Photo ID is required for in-store returns. Textbooks:Textbooks purchased for Fall or Spring semester courses can be returned for a refund with PROOF OF DROP through the Add/Drop deadline set by SF State. All items must be in original condition and accompanied by the original sales receipt.After the return deadline, textbooks are no longer refundable.Textbooks purchased for Summer semester courses can be returned for a full refund with receipt and PROOF OF DROP within one week of the start of each session.A 10% restocking fee will be applied to any textbooks returned without Proof of Drop but before the return deadline.Books must be in original purchase condition for a full refund. All refunds must be accompanied by the original sales receipt and proof of drop. Non-refundable textbook items include course readers and opened access codes.Computers:Unopened computer hardware may be returned within 14 days of the date of purchase.Purchases made at shop.sfsubookstore.com:The same return policy applies to online orders as items purchased in the store.Shipping or in-store reservation fees on online orders are non-refundable.Shipping charges incurred by returning the item(s) to us will not be refunded.
